If you are taking biscuits, cakes or crisps as a snack than instead of these unhealthy snacks if you eat handful of nuts could curve those snack carvings and boosts your health. Although it is difficult to get through the day without unhealthy snacks because of good taste that attracts everybody. Taking nuts as a snack will help you feel fuller for longer because of concentrated protein. Also nuts protect from a whole host of illnesses. A new study has found that patients with prostate cancer who consumed nuts five or more times a week after diagnosis had a 34 percent lower rate of mortality than those who ate nuts less than once a month.



How nuts are beneficial ?

Nuts are the complete source of protein, fibre and important  vitamins and minerals, including - in differing proportions- calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, vitamin E and B and selenium, the powerful antitoxidant thought to help fight cancer and which also play a role in combating infertility, dementia and low thyroid function. Also nuts contain high fat content  but its the healthy type- unsaturated- which is thought to help lower bad LDL cholestrol levels.

Keep in mind that not all nuts are created equal. A packet of roasted, salted nuts are not the same healthy snack  as some plain, raw almonds, for example, and dieticians advise avoiding nuts that are packaged, salted or roasted in oil or honey. Its better to eat raw and dry roasted. According to the latest Harvard study found death rates among men with prostate cancer were more than a third less when they ate nuts regularly, it didn't conclude that eating nuts actually helped prevent men from getting prostate cancer in the first place.

When we see at the research have recommended nuts- specially walnuts could help prevent or at least delay some types of cancer, including breast, prostate and colorectal. A Harvard study among 75,680 women last year gave a conclusion that who consumed a 28g serving of nuts two or more times a week  had a 13 percent lower risk of colorectal cancer compared to those who rarely ate nuts, another Mexican research has shown  that eating big amount of peanuts, walnuts and almonds over a lifetime meant  women were two or three times less likely to develop breast cancer.
